By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Emergency officials are reminding you that it is never 100% safe to go out on an icy pond after two kids fell through into Marlborough’s Sudbury Reservoir Saturday. Assistant Fire Chief Jeffrey Gogan tells the Daily News the kids were able to get themselves out but calls them lucky they were not hurt. While some agencies have anecdotal recommendations for ice thickness safety, Milford Fire Chief Mark Nelson they will never declare ice “safe” and recommends staying off frozen ponds and lakes.
