WESTBOROUGH – Some MetroWest residents are raising concerns about Amazon’s plans for drone deliveries from its Westborough facility.
Amazon recently held a community meeting to discuss regional drone delivery within a 7.5-mile radius of its Otis Street facility, potentially reaching parts of Westborough, Hopkinton, Upton and Grafton.
The Community Advocate reports residents raised questions about safety, privacy and environmental impacts. Amazon still needs approval from the Federal Aviation Administration and U.S. Department of Transportation before the service can move forward.
