MENDON-UPTON – The Mendon-Upton Regional School District has officially unveiled its new mascot.
The School Committee revealed the Coyote logo Monday, replacing the former Nipmuc Warrior mascot.
The Mendon Commons reports the unveiling prompted questions about the district’s decision and the process behind the change. The Superintendent reiterated that the process began more than a decade ago and included input from the Nipmuc tribe, community surveys, and a committee made up of administrators, staff, students and alumni.
