DOUGLAS – A beloved spring tradition is set to return to Douglas with a full day of family fun and celebration.
The Hummingbird Festival on the Common will take place on May 2, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Douglas Common, hosted by the Douglas Common Preservation Society, Inc..
The festival celebrates the return of hummingbirds to the area and will feature live music, local vendors, food trucks, educational opportunities, and activities for all ages. Attendees can explore more than 30 vendors offering plants, garden items, handmade goods, and more.
Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day, along with family-friendly activities like face painting and interactive experiences. The first 100 kids will even receive free hummingbird feeders.
The event will also include a special guest speaker presentation focused on gardening for hummingbirds and pollinators, as well as dance performances in the afternoon.
Organizers say the festival is all about bringing the community together to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate the beauty of the season.
