By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough’s Hastings Elementary School will be getting a new roof this year. On Saturday Town Meeting approved a $4.14 million ask to replace the 27-year-old roof which sprung some leaks in the recent winter storms after some of the seams and flashing came apart. The Community Advocate reports the new multi-ply redundant assembly roof will be under warranty for 40 years but with a life expectancy of up to 50 years if they take good care of it. Officials expect to be able to get it done this summer.
