By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The recent heavy rains have reportedly done a number on the roof of Westborough’s Hastings Elementary School. At the School Committee meeting last week, Superintendent Amber Bock said the January 9 rain had water pouring through some areas. The Community Advocate reports they were able to contain the damage to certain areas and some emergency repairs have held-up since then, but the roof’s rubber has broken down. They reportedly intend to ask for funding at the next Town Meeting.
