By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin’s Prospect Street is going to be closed near Lake Street at the Bellingham border for at least a week starting tomorrow. The Department of Public Works has been working there with reduced lanes since December 22 when a culvert headwall collapsed. They said Friday after careful evaluation with engineers they’ve decided to completely replace the culvert with a new 48″ concrete pipe. Prospect will have to be closed for between seven and 10 days, weather permitting, and the detours are a long way around.
