FRANKLIN – Residents can get a firsthand look Thursday at Franklin’s newest effort to protect the town’s drinking water from PFAS contamination.
The Town of Franklin is holding an open house at its new Well 7-7A PFAS Treatment Facility, which was constructed to remove PFAS contaminants from the municipal drinking water supply.
The facility is designed to produce up to 580,000 gallons of treated drinking water per day while meeting Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection drinking water standards.
Residents will have an opportunity to tour the new facility and learn more about the treatment process during the open house from 5 PM to 7 PM Thursday at 21 Elizabeth Avenue.
The event is free and open to the public.
