It was a broken gas line that led to a six-hour closure of Hopkinton’s Wood Street on Thursday. Director of Public Works Kerry Reed announced the closure near 83 Wood Street around 8am although Wood did not specify what led up to the break. Hopkinton police and firefighters responded along with town crews and Eversource. The road was reopened around 2pm. There are no reports of anyone being hurt or of any damage.
