Uxbridge’s softball team remained unbeaten with a 29–0 rout of the Leicester Wolverines on Wednesday, highlighting the Spartans’ offensive depth and pitching dominance. Senior ace Erin O’Day recorded a no-hitter and struck out twelve, silencing Leicester’s bats. Her ace-level production has become expected this season, with her always meeting those lofty expectations. Offensively, Uxbridge pounded out 29 runs in a game shortened by mercy rule. Katherine Pratt went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, while two-sport phenom Bailey Dzivasen contributed a 2-for-3 effort with three RBIs. An additional 21 runs came from the rest of the lineup, underscoring the team’s balanced attack and depth from top to bottom. With the win, Uxbridge improves to 16–0 and sits atop the Division 3 rankings. The Spartans face their biggest tests this week: today they host Nipmuc (15–1, No. 5 in D3) at 3:30 PM, followed by a Sunday matchup at Tantasqua (ranked No. 3). Both games will be critical as Uxbridge prepares for the postseason, and provide the Spartans a crucial test regardless if they can keep their zero intact.
