NORTON — Ruoning Yin closed out the 2026 FM Championship with a final-round 70 on Sunday to capture the title at TPC Boston, finishing the week at 14-under par and earning a two-shot victory.
Yin posted rounds of 71, 65, 68 and 70 for a four-day total of 274, holding off Hyo Joo Kim, who finished second at 12-under. Allisen Corpuz placed third at 11-under, while Rose Zhang and Sei Young Kim tied for fourth at 10-under.
The final round remained competitive throughout much of Sunday, with Yin battling back and forth for the lead with Kim and Sei Young Kim. After an uneven start that included one birdie and two bogeys over her first four holes, Yin responded with consecutive birdies at Nos. 6 and 7.
She made another birdie at No. 12 before arriving at the par-5 18th with the championship in her control. Yin reached the final green in two and finished with a two-putt birdie to seal the two-shot victory.
Yin made 24 birdies over four rounds, the most of any player in the field during the week.
The victory was the sixth LPGA Tour win of Yin’s career and her first since the 2024 Maybank Championship, ending a 672-day stretch without a victory. It was also her first appearance at the FM Championship.
Yin became the second player from China to win the FM Championship, following Miranda Wang’s victory at TPC Boston in 2025. The win also moved Yin past $2 million in official earnings for the 2026 season and gave her seven top-10 finishes this year.
“I think I have quite a few times that I was really close but just keep missing by one or by two,” Yin said after the victory. She added that last season taught her patience while dealing with the pressure and expectations that came with trying to win again.
Hyo Joo Kim finished runner-up after a final-round 71, while Corpuz closed with a 68 to take third. Zhang also shot 68 on Sunday to move into a tie for fourth alongside Sei Young Kim.
The tournament also marked the final LPGA Tour round for Anna Nordqvist, who finished tied for 38th and shot even par Sunday after announcing earlier in the week that she would retire from LPGA Tour competition.
The 2026 championship featured a $4.4 million purse, with Yin earning $660,000 for the victory along with 500 Race to the CME Globe points.
With another FM Championship complete, TPC Boston has now hosted three editions of the LPGA event, with Ruoning Yin joining Miranda Wang and 2024 champion Haeran Ryu on the tournament’s list of winners.
