WORCESTER — Organizers are looking for volunteers to take part in a Worcester Pride Dance Mob planned for this year’s Pride celebration.
The group is inviting community members of all experience levels to participate, with no previous dance experience required. Volunteers will learn choreography ahead of the event and are encouraged to bring friends, family members and coworkers.
Two rehearsals are scheduled at Worcester Dance, 75 Hammond Street, Suite 1A. The first will be held Friday, Aug. 28 from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a second rehearsal on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Organizers say participants will also receive additional information and choreography videos so they can practice at home between rehearsals.
The dance mob is being organized as a way to bring energy and community participation to Worcester Pride while creating a memorable moment for attendees.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to RSVP in advance through the organizer’s online form.
No special equipment is required, and organizers are asking participants to attend rehearsals in comfortable clothing and come ready to learn the routine.
The Worcester Pride Dance Mob rehearsals begin Aug. 28 at Worcester Dance, with a second session scheduled for Sept. 5.
