NORTON — The wait is over as the LPGA’s FM Championship officially begins today at TPC Boston, bringing many of the best female golfers in the world back to Massachusetts for four days of tournament play.
The 2026 championship marks the third edition of the FM Championship at TPC Boston and comes one year after the event was voted LPGA Tournament of the Year by the players.
This year’s field is expected to feature all 10 of the top 10 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, including world No. 1, Nelly Korda, giving New England golf fans an opportunity to see some of the sport’s biggest names compete locally.
The field also includes local connections, with Massachusetts natives Megan Khang and Alexa Pano among those scheduled to compete. Defending champion Miranda Wang returns to TPC Boston looking to defend her title, while Lydia Ko and Charley Hull are also set to make their first appearances at the FM Championship.
Players will compete for a $4.4 million purse, one of the largest among non-major championships on the LPGA Tour.
Fans attending the tournament will find more than just golf throughout the property. Organizers have planned interactive experiences, children’s activities, exclusive FM Championship merchandise, food and beverage options and free golf instruction from LPGA teaching professionals.
Through the tournament’s partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, children 17 and younger receive free admission with a ticketed adult. Military members, veterans and first responders are also being offered complimentary admission through a partnership with SERVPRO.
For fans who cannot make it to Norton, the television experience has also been expanded significantly this season.
Every round of U.S.-based LPGA Tour events is being televised live this year, while the number of cameras used in LPGA broadcasts has increased by 50%. Coverage also includes additional slow-motion cameras, microphones, drones, camera angles and shot-tracing technology.
The FM Championship will also debut two new broadcast enhancements this week, including putt tracing and OptiMotion technology, which can track different parts of a golfer’s body during a swing and provide viewers with a closer look at swing mechanics.
More than 800 volunteers are expected to help operate this year’s tournament at TPC Boston.
The 2026 FM Championship begins today and continues through Sunday at TPC Boston in Norton, with four days of competition set to determine this year’s champion.
