FRANKLIN – Franklin’s Riverbend Conservation Area has been certified as a Tree Farm, recognizing ongoing efforts to responsibly manage the property’s forest resources, improve wildlife habitat and promote long-term forest health.
The Franklin Conservation Department and Conservation Commission say the certification builds on a Forest Stewardship Plan developed for Riverbend in 2024.
Among the ongoing projects at Riverbend are five climate plots and three screech owl boxes designed to encourage and support wildlife habitat.
