HOPKINTON – Hopkinton Area Land Trust President Morrie Gasser was airlifted to a hospital after being injured while hiking in New Hampshire Monday.
The Hopkinton Independent reports Gasser was hiking on the Glen Boulder Trail when he suffered head and neck injuries in a fall.
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department responded and ultimately called in an Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter to evacuate Gasser from the wilderness and transport him for medical treatment.
His current condition has not been released.
Gasser recently announced that he will be stepping down from the Hopkinton Area Land Trust as he prepares to move out of Hopkinton.
