UXBRIDGE – The West Hill Dam recreation area in Uxbridge will close for approximately two months this fall while crews complete improvements to the property.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the entrance and parking lots will be closed from September 15th through November 15th.
Construction will include repaving the entire entrance from the street to the top of the dam and expanding the parking lot by as many as 25 additional spaces.
The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife says it will not stock pheasants at West Hill Dam while construction is underway. The agency plans to resume stocking during the week of November 16th, following the scheduled completion of the project.
