NORTH ATTLEBORO –– The Hockomock Area YMCA is getting ready for another school year of youth programming, with registration for its 2026 fall offerings set to begin later this month.

YMCA members will get the first opportunity to register beginning Saturday, August 15, followed by registration for the general community beginning Saturday, August 22. Youth classes are scheduled to begin the week of September 12 and continue throughout the school year.

The YMCA’s school-year programming includes a wide variety of opportunities designed to keep children active, learning and connected. Options include sports, gymnastics, swim lessons, arts and enrichment programs, cooking classes, dance, fitness and STEM activities.

Gymnastics offerings include programs for preschool-aged children, parent-and-child classes and programs for ages 6 through 14, along with themed options including Princess/Superheroes/Ninja Warrior/Parkour. Sports programming includes fall leagues, volleyball and MashUp introductory programs, as well as fall-only floor hockey and archery. An intramural swim team is also among the available options.

Swimming programs range from introductory Swim Starters for children ages six months through four years to Swim Basics and Swim Strokes classes for older children. However, swim classes at the Franklin YMCA will be added at a later date as its indoor pool undergoes renovations.

The YMCA says its flexible enrollment model allows families to enroll once with monthly billing throughout the school year and gives participants the ability to enroll in or transfer between programs as needed.

The Hockomock Area YMCA operates branches in Franklin, Foxboro, Mansfield and North Attleboro, with programming varying by location.

Member registration opens August 15, with community registration beginning August 22.
