MILFORD — Two members of Milford Post 59 will represent the program on one of the state’s biggest summer baseball stages Monday evening.
Brady Iarussi and Adam Dubowik have been selected to participate in the Massachusetts American Legion Sophomore/Junior All-Star Showcase Game, scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at Adam’s Field in Quincy.
The annual showcase brings together many of the top sophomore and junior American Legion players from across Massachusetts, giving them an opportunity to compete alongside some of the state’s best young talent while showcasing their skills in front of coaches and scouts.
Iarussi has been a valuable contributor for Milford throughout the summer, batting .240 while driving in four runs and scoring four runs. Behind the plate, he has also provided steady leadership for one of the area’s hottest teams.
On the mound, Dubowik has made an impact in limited action, posting a 1-0 record over 5.1 innings while striking out seven batters. He enters the showcase with a 6.56 ERA and has issued six walks, giving Milford another promising young arm for both this season and the future.
Their selections come during a strong campaign for Milford Post 59, which has established itself as one of the top teams in the region behind an impressive winning streak and balanced play on both sides of the ball.
The All-Star Showcase is designed to recognize emerging talent across Massachusetts American Legion Baseball while giving players an opportunity to compete against elite competition before returning to their teams for the stretch run of the regular season.
Milford Post 59 congratulated both players on their selections and wished them well as they represent the program Monday night in Quincy.
