MILFORD – Milford will receive $1 million in state funding to help address PFAS contamination in its drinking water as part of a pilot program led by the Department of Environmental Protection. PFAS, often called “forever chemicals,” have been linked to health concerns due to their long-term presence in the environment.

Milford is one of 18 communities selected for the program, with funding designated to design and build a new water treatment plant aimed at removing PFAS from the local water supply.
