MILFORD – Mosquito spraying is scheduled for Milford tonight after West Nile Virus was detected in mosquitoes collected from a surveillance trap near the Beach Street Extension area.
The Milford Board of Health says the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project will conduct truck-mounted spraying beginning after 8 PM. Catch basins in the area will also be treated.
Officials remind residents to remove standing water around their properties, use insect repellent, and repair damaged window screens to help reduce mosquito exposure.
