First pitch is slated for 4 PM, with a trip to the Division 4 state championship game on the line. Both teams survived tight quarterfinal battles to reach this point. Uxbridge edged Abington 1-0 last Friday night, while Tyngsborough squeaked by AMSA 3-2 on Sunday. The Tigers took down the No. 3 team in the division in AMSA, which demonstrates their threat against the Spartans. The Spartans enter the game as the No. 2 seed with a 19-1 record, while sixth-seeded Tyngsborough comes in at 16-4. Uxbridge has been dominant all season long, with their only loss coming against Tantasqua, a team that has since been eliminated. Today’s matchup promises to be their toughest test yet, especially with Tyngsborough riding the momentum of a quarterfinal upset.
