By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Boy Scout Troop 382 has helped the Westborough Department of Public Works and Conservation Land Trust build a new footbridge over the Sandra Pond spillway. A spokesman for the Land Trust’s Stewardship Committee tells the Community Advocates the 24-foot-long footbridge is a great example of community collaboration. Officials say the goal is to keep hikers and fishermen from crossing the spillway and causing more damage to it. The DPW is next planning to build a path on both sides of the bridge.
