By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Now that it has a name, Hopkinton schools officials are focusing on the colors and design for the new elementary school approved by voters last fall. Known up until now as the Elmwood School replacement, the Hopkinton Independent reports last week the School Committee settled on the name Charleswood for the new grade 2-4 school. At this week’s Elementary School Building Committee meeting an educational programmer for the architecture firm said the design elements will have an “overarching theme that is calming and natural” with themes of meadow, forest and river throughout the building.
