Southborough Police Chief Ryan Newell says they were notified by school officials that the shells were found in a trash bin in one of the dorms. Southborough Police brought in K-9 teams from State Police along with Framingham and Worcester Police to search the school, during which time the student came forward and admitted to bringing the shells to school.
