Westborough Public Library Repair Funds Advance to Town Meeting Vote

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The next step toward repairs for the Westborough Public Library has been OK’d by the town’s Advisory Finance Committee but now it has to get past Town Meeting. At their meeting February 22, the committee reportedly voted unanimously to recommend borrowing about $1.6 million toward the design costs. If Town Meeting approves that on March 23, the money will go towards design development, construction documents and bidding. The Community Advocates reports the full cost of the proposed repair project would then go to Town Meeting in 2025 asking for around $16 million.
