Westborough Names Interim Finance Director, Considers Department Changes

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Westborough has a new interim town finance director. At their meeting earlier this month the Select Board voted to appoint Chief Assessor Jon Steinberg into the position. The Community Advocate reports Jason Little, who was appointed finance director of the already short-staffed department a few months ago, is leaving to return to his former job. The upcoming Town Meeting includes articles asking to make the town accountant its own department separate from the finance department and to add a payroll clerk.
