Permits for new sewer tie-ins could be flowing again soon in Westborough. The Westborough Select Board has voted to remove their moratorium on new sewer hook-ups enacted last year over concerns that the Wastewater Treatment Plant had reached capacity and had actually been over-allocating for many years. The Community Advocate reports the Department of Public Works has made some adjustments to their procedures and is now operating under capacity so the moratorium ends today.
