WESTBOROUGH – Property owners with fire hose connections should take note of a change coming from the Westborough Fire Department.
The department is transitioning from the existing 2½-inch connections to 4-inch Storz connections. Officials say the new connections provide firefighters with faster hookups, increased water flow and a more reliable water supply during emergencies.
Under Westborough town bylaws, all affected properties must complete the upgrade by January 1st, 2027.
