Viral Video: Impaired Driver Crashes Stolen Truck in Bellingham

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A video is going viral that shows the dashcam view of an impaired driver in a stolen truck tearing through Bellingham and slamming into a car. Bellingham Police say they posted the January 14 incident on Facebook yesterday to highlight the dangers of impaired driving as you see the guy repeatedly taking his hands off the wheel and waving them around. You also see him narrowly missing several cars before he eventually hits one. No one was hurt. The 23-year-old Ashland man had apparently stolen the truck in Hopkinton and after hitting the car he ran off. Following an investigation, he was ID’d and then caught by police in West Greenwich Rhode Island. He’ll be in court in Milford next week.
