BELLINGHAM – Two people have died following an early Monday morning house fire on Temi Road.

Fire Chief William Miller says the victims, identified as sisters, were inside the home when the fire was reported around 12:30 a.m. Firefighters located both women and removed them from the house, but they were later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Nine neighboring departments responded to assist. Crews brought the fire under control in about 30 minutes and prevented it from spreading to nearby homes. The cause remains under investigation.
