By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The trial for a former Hopkinton police officer charged with rape of a child in alleged incidents from 2004 and 2005 has been postponed until December 9. John Porter, known as Jay, was charged last spring on three counts for incidents alleged to have happened when he was a School Resource Officer. He has pleaded not guilty. He has a case review hearing next month, but the Hopkinton Independent reports at a conference last week both sides agreed to delay his trial from September to December.
