HOPKINTON – A trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday for a man accused of hitting a five-year-old boy who was riding his bike on a sidewalk in September 2025.
Arun Kumar Vellanki is charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He allegedly struck the child while backing his Tesla out of a driveway. The boy suffered injuries to his face.
Vellanki has pleaded not guilty.
