UXBRIDGE – The Massachusetts Department of Public Health is conducting testing at Uxbridge High School following concerns about a cluster of cancer and precancerous diagnoses among several staff members.
School officials say multiple teachers have been diagnosed with breast cancer or precancerous conditions over the past several years, prompting the district to request environmental testing out of an abundance of caution. Administrators stress there is currently no evidence that the school is unsafe, and the investigation is aimed at ruling out any possible environmental factors.
