NORTHBRIDGE – More details are emerging about the $3.3 million tax override that Northbridge voters will consider at the May 5 Town Meeting and May 19 ballot. The group Residents for a Stronger Northbridge says the proposal is a “traditional, one-year up-front override” to be implemented in Fiscal Year 2027.
Supporters say the funding would fully close the current budget gap and provide stability for school funding for at least five years. The proposal currently has unanimous support from the School Committee, Board of Selectmen, and Finance Committee.
