MILFORD – Milford Police will soon have a new K9 joining the department as longtime police dog Titan retires. Officer Brian Sanchioni tells the Daily News that Titan, who is nine years old, will now become a family pet.
Titan’s replacement will be K9 Maui, a Dutch Shepherd who is currently undergoing training. Titan was primarily a search-and-rescue dog and was credited with helping police make many daring and complicated rescues involving missing people.
Milford Police also have patrol dog Kodak, comfort dog Piper, and firearms detection dog Ozzy.
