MENDON – Mendon’s Special Town Meeting is set for October 27th with 21 articles on the warrant, including a proposal to change the Town Clerk position from elected to appointed.
Current Town Clerk Ellen Agro supports the change, telling the Mendon Commons that an appointed position could cast a wider net when looking for qualified candidates. Agro’s current term ends in May, and she says she would apply for the position if the change is approved. The meeting will be held at Miscoe Hill Middle School.
