MENDON – Mendon is preparing a full day of events to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
The celebration will take place on Sunday, August 2nd, featuring a living history exhibit at the Ammidon Tavern, historical displays at Town Hall, and a ceremonial signing of a replica of the Declaration of Independence by 56 local residents.
Participants will march from the Ammidon Tavern to Town Hall accompanied by a fife and drum corps, recreating the spirit of the nation’s founding. The day’s festivities are also expected to include a fireworks display to conclude the celebration.
