Massachusetts Senate Moves Daylight Saving Time Bill Forward

MASSACHUSETTS – The Massachusetts Senate is hoping you won’t have to fall back again. Senators have voted to give legislation ending the twice-yearly clock change. If ultimately approved, the bill would establish a consistent time system across Massachusetts and make daylight saving time permanent.

The change would only take effect if at least two neighboring states also adopt the same system. Several studies have found potential health impacts associated with the twice-yearly time change. It is not yet clear when the Senate will take a final vote.
