By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton Police are handing out citations to good kids. Chief Joseph Bennet says Operation Sweet Rewards has officers handing out ice cream vouchers for kids in the community they observe doing things like helping a friend, showing kindness and being a responsible citizen like wearing a bike helmet. The vouchers are good for a small ice cream at The Spoonery or at Hop-Yo. The operation goes on through September 3. The chief says the program was spearheaded by Hopkinton Police Officer Augusto Diaz.
