HOPKINTON – Following the announced retirement of Police Chief Joseph Bennett, the Hopkinton Select Board has approved hiring Public Safety Consultants to assist with the search for the town’s next police chief. Bennett is set to officially retire at the end of June.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, Select Board members emphasized the importance of community involvement in the selection process, particularly in helping shape any committee responsible for making the final recommendation.
