By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Franklin Town Council has decided to ask voters for a tax override to help meet expenses for the town and school district for the next fiscal year. Following a four-hour long meeting Wednesday night, which followed several public meetings held over the last few weeks, the council voted to set a June 11 election to ask voters for an override of $6.8 million. The council voted unanimously to ask for the override and for the amount. Only one town councilor – Deb Pellegri – was against holding it next month.
