By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A box of old military ordnance brought Blackstone Police and the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad to a home Thursday morning. Police Chief Gregory Gilmore says the Bomb Squad determined most of the ordnances, which were military-grade training materials, were inert and were taken to be returned to the military. A few items, such as flares, were not inert and were taken to be safely detonated. Chief Gilmore says there was no danger to the public at any point during the investigation.
