By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Bellingham voters will be asked in June to approve a $750,000 tax override to add six paramedics to bolster emergency response. Fire Chief William Miller says the fire department currently operates from two active stations providing services across 19 square miles. Miller says given the population growth in the last ten years they have had a 38% increase in call volume with more than half of that relying on mutual aid from neighboring towns which he says can delay response time.
