HOPKINTON — Families looking for an outdoor challenge will have a chance to take on the high ropes course at the MetroWest YMCA’s Hopkinton Outdoor Center during a special Family Day on the Ropes Course next month.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. and will give participants access to a variety of aerial elements designed to encourage confidence, adventure and family participation.
Activities will include the high ropes course, the Leap of Faith and a zipline circuit. Participants taking on the Leap of Faith and zipline will climb to the tallest platform on the campus before completing the challenge.
The high ropes elements are open to participants ages 6 and older, while the Leap of Faith and zipline circuit are open to those ages 10 and older.
The event is free for Full-Access Framingham members as well as Outdoor Center and Youth/Teen members. Community members can participate for $10 per person.
The MetroWest YMCA says the afternoon is designed for families looking to try something new, conquer a fear or simply spend time together in an active outdoor setting.
The Family Day on the Ropes Course takes place Saturday, Sept. 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hopkinton Outdoor Center. Registration information is expected to be released soon.
