WEST DENNIS — Families visiting Cape Cod this summer and fall have a new reason to stop by Love Farms as the popular West Dennis destination launches Love Farms Sprouts, a new family-focused entertainment series featuring interactive performances and educational programming every Wednesday and Friday morning.
The new series kicked off with magician Malik the Magician, drawing approximately 85 attendees and filling Love Farms’ outdoor patio with children and families.
“We’re really working to welcome families,” said Heather McCarthy, Director of Operations at Love Farms. “We’re experience-based hospitality folks by nature, so we’re always asking, ‘How can we offer more?’ That’s really how the Sprouts program was born.”
Programs begin at 10 a.m. and feature a rotating lineup of entertainment, including puppet shows, magic performances, Mad Scientist demonstrations, and other interactive experiences designed to keep children engaged while giving families another reason to visit Love Farms throughout the season.
McCarthy said the goal is to create an experience that encourages both Cape Cod residents and vacationers to return week after week.
“We’ve got a ton of families that visit us,” she said. “For folks who live here, it’s a reason to repeat. For people traveling to the Cape, it’s another fun thing to do in addition to all of the amazing activities the Cape has to offer.”
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy breakfast or brunch before the performances begin. Beyond the Sprouts programming, Love Farms offers expansive indoor and outdoor dining, open green space for children to play, a sand play area, and a marketplace featuring locally grown products and merchandise.
The farm-to-table restaurant highlights ingredients from its own seven-acre working farm, located adjacent to the property, along with partnerships with other local producers. Fresh produce grown on-site is incorporated throughout the menu, while seafood and other ingredients are sourced from regional suppliers, including locally caught lobster and oysters.
“It’s not just a dining experience,” McCarthy said. “Stay as long as you like and experience the property in all kinds of ways.”
While the entertainment is designed for children, McCarthy hopes families leave with something even more meaningful.
“I hope they feel the joy of the place,” she said. “It’s hard to walk into the backyard and not just take a deep breath and enjoy being present where you are while your kids play.”
