FOXBOROUGH — The Hockomock Area YMCA is preparing for its annual Spier Family Kindness for Kids 5K and Kids Fun Run, with this year’s event set for Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Invensys Foxboro Branch.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the Kids Fun Run at 9 a.m. Free youth and family activities will also be offered from 8 to 11 a.m.
The event will take place at the Invensys Foxboro Branch, 67 Mechanic Street in Foxborough.
Organizers say the morning is designed to bring families together for fitness, fun and community support. All proceeds from the event will benefit the YMCA’s Food Access Program, helping support efforts to provide food to people in the community.
The first 200 people to register for the 5K will receive a commemorative event T-shirt.
Registration is currently open online at hockymca.org/5k-family-day.
