GRAFTON — Grafton Post 92 received a complete-game effort from Storm Ellison and used timely hitting to defeat Framingham Post 117, 5-1, in American Legion baseball action Tuesday night.
Ellison was dominant on the mound, allowing just one run on four hits over seven innings while striking out six. He threw 100 pitches and kept Framingham off the scoreboard until the sixth inning to earn the victory.
Grafton collected five hits and scored in four different innings. Kellen Caron paced the offense with a hit, a run scored, and an RBI, while C.J. Chagnon went 2-for-2 and drove in a run. Kyle Brown added a two-base hit and knocked in two runs, and Landan Swain chipped in with a triple and a run scored.
Charlie Law scored a run from the leadoff spot, and Haylan Oberg added a hit and crossed the plate once as Post 92 improved with a balanced offensive effort.
Framingham Post 117 managed four hits in the loss. Nick DeRosa accounted for half of them, finishing 1-for-3 with two doubles and scoring the club’s lone run. James Winders and Jaxon Fertel each added hits.
Michael Chagnon took the loss for Framingham, allowing two runs on two hits over four innings while striking out seven. Nate Wang and Charlie Jesman combined to work the final two innings in relief.
Grafton broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the third inning, added another in the fifth, and pushed across two more in the sixth before Framingham plated its lone run in the top of the sixth.
