Grafton Post 92 Rolls Past Framingham with 15-2 Offensive Outburst

FRAMINGHAM — Grafton Post 92 exploded for 15 runs on 10 hits Sunday night, cruising to a 15-2 victory over Framingham Post 117 in American Legion Baseball action.

Grafton wasted little time taking control, scoring three runs in the opening inning before breaking the game wide open with a six-run fourth and another six-run fifth to end the contest after five innings via the mercy rule.

The offensive attack was balanced from top to bottom, with six different players driving in runs.

Charlie Law led the way with a huge performance, finishing 3-for-4 with five RBIs and three runs scored. Haylan Oberg matched him with a 2-for-3 night, driving in three runs and scoring three times.

Kyle Brown added a pair of RBIs on a 1-for-4 performance, while Ryan Chagnon drove in a run, scored twice, and drew three walks. Kellen Caron contributed a hit, an RBI, and a walk, while Michael Nicalek added an RBI and scored twice.

On the mound, CJ Chagnon earned the victory, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits over 4.1 innings while striking out five. Luke Stevens recorded the final two outs, surrendering just one hit and striking out two to close out the win.

Framingham managed four hits in the loss. Colin Walsh went 1-for-1 with two RBIs, while James Winders, Jackson Donato, and Jaxon Fertel each collected a hit. Starter Nick DeRosa took the loss after allowing three runs in three innings before Grafton broke the game open against the bullpen.

Grafton’s aggressive baserunning also played a key role, stealing seven bases, including two each from Charlie Law and Ryan Chagnon, as Post 92 continued its strong play with one of its most complete performances of the season.
