Taunton got off to a fast start Friday night, building an early lead and pulling away from Stoughton behind a three-touchdown performance from Amari Teixeira.
The Tigers jumped out to a 21-0 advantage before Stoughton managed to get on the scoreboard. Taunton wasted little time finding the end zone, needing just 22 seconds to score and establish control early in the contest.
Teixeira led the way for Taunton, reaching the end zone three times to help power the Tigers past Stoughton. The early offensive surge put Taunton in a strong position as it continued to build on its lead throughout the game.
The victory moves Taunton to 3-3 overall as the Tigers look to gain momentum heading into the second half of the season.
Taunton will return to the road next Friday for a matchup against rival Attleboro, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m.
Stoughton, meanwhile, falls to 0-6 and will look to bounce back in its next outing.
