ASHLAND — Milford SEPAC and Neurodiversity Support for Children, Inc. are preparing to host Carnival Time for Every Mind, an inclusive carnival experience designed for neurodivergent children and their families.
The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Stone Park, 73 Summer Street in Ashland.
Admission is $5 per person for ages 2 and older, with the carnival featuring a mix of games, sensory activities, community resources, food and other family activities.
Organizers have planned the event with different sensory needs in mind. The carnival layout includes both high-stimulating and low-stimulating areas, along with a designated quiet area for families who may need a break from the activity.
Activities include football toss, ladder toss, cornhole, bubbles, Frisbee golf, golf putting, a lollipop game, temporary tattoos, a dinosaur egg dig, shaving cream, bracelet making, sand art, Play-Doh, water beads and a chess table. Free-play activities and a car mat area will also be available.
Some activities are free, while others require tickets. A package of 20 activity tickets costs $20. Food offerings include cotton candy and popcorn, and the event will also feature a raffle prize table.
Limited vendor tables are available for $25 for organizations interested in taking part in the carnival and connecting with families.
The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. For more information, organizers can be contacted at [email protected].
